What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?Oklahoma
I conceived a child when I was 16 with a 20 year old, my family offered to pay child support, begged to see the child and to no avail. When he was 13 the mother signed up for welfare and sued me for child support; they assessed it from day 1 and he a teenager that had no interest in seeing me. I quit paying at some point, unsure when(diagnosed Bipolar and struggled with drug issues for awhile as a result of self medicating) and have no idea how much I owe, can I settle? I also see him(he is 24) and have gave him money when he was older, including a car. Can a waiver be signed? If so, who has to sign the waiver, child or mother?
I have suffered a lot of legal issues over the mental illness being untreated for 10 years. It is sad, but overwhelming to work past it, advice is needed to restore license, ability to work in Oklahoma and passport. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
