What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Virginia
I filed with Virginia DCSE and have have nothing but problems.
Long story short (kind of) - They issued an income withholding order
a while ago but say they have not received any money (and obviously
neither have I). According to my daughters father, the person he
spoke to at DCSE was supposed to send something to his employer so
they could take the money directly from his paycheck. For some reason
this didn't happen. At first a lady at DCSE said she forgot to send it,
then when she did send it, his employer didn't get anything, so
apparently they are sending it AGAIN. From what I understood, they
were supposed to be taking it out of his paycheck a long time ago!
(I filed in Oct or Nov 2011. My daughter was born Sept 2011.)
He had also sent out $185 to DCSE and they said they did not recieve that.
I find it hard to believe that no one is getting anything that anyone is sending out in the mail.
I have called and talked to about 5 or 6 different people and either I am just not understanding what is going on or they just aren't giving me straight answers.
I just have no idea what is going on and don't know what to do about it. I don't know if VA DCSE is screwing me over or if my daughters father is. But something does not make sense, and all I have heard from other people is that the child support and court system here in VA is a complete joke.
