virginia. My daughter purchased a used car several months ago. She was having trouble getting one of the doors to open and close properly. A friend of a friend offered to fix it for her for free. She gave him the keys to the car.
Later that day (She is in the Navy) she had an emergency leave for two weeks (her father passed away in Georgia)
when she returned she couldn't find this person nor the car.
She was told that because she gave him her keys it couldn't be reported as stolen..... She quit paying for it. Now she is being summonded to court for theft. What should she do? The police told her she couldn't claim it was stolen.
HELP!
