What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? My husband and i are moving to Kenya to work for an orphanage. We are wanting to sell tshirts to raise money and ran across a bible verse on pinterest we want to use. Its James 1:27 and I know i can use that legally but the person made the word orphans and God the Father in uppercase to stand out and we want to use this for our shirts. I have tried to contact her for permission but she has not answered. Is it legal to use this since it is just a bible verse?

I would think that it would take more than just a font and a couple of capital letters to make a copyrightable piece of work out of something in the public domain.
