Can I sue in small claims for slander. Person told family and businesses that I consider accounts that I was arrested for a serious crime (drug possession). This is not true. I was "detained" for resisting arrest. The D.A. refused to file charges for no evidence. Never went to court. one of my accounts stopped using my services for 6 months. I lost over 6,000 dollars in business. I have since proved the rumors wrong and have gained this account back. I was also estranged for a time by family. This person has caused total chaos and refuses to stop or apologize. Thank you
