emding footage from a holliwood movie into a video clip I'm making

Hi

I want to make a music video clip for my band.
I want to use footage from an action movie/film as part of this video clip.
it will be a few seconds footage from the movie, another few seconds of me and the band playing.
I will put a text comment at the end of the clip saying the footage is from that movie.

is that ok? can I do that without getting sued ?


I'm not from the US or Europe by the way.

does it matter where I reside? does it mean I cannot be sued?
there are copyright agreements between my country and the US
I'm pretty sure I can be sued if I do something wrong in the copy rights rules of the US just like any country
actually the movie is a french one I think.

I don't understand
putting a text comment at the end of the clip saying the footage is from that movie is ok and will keep me from not getting sued ?
