texas/i have been on workmans comp since 2/9/01. i recieved a letter this weekend from my employer stating that i was fired on 5/8. is this legal? i have an injured back that i injured doing someone elses job, on the job.

Sounds to me like you have a case that you can pursue with
a great possibility to win. I'm no lawyer but with my little knowledge of worker's comp laws governed by State/US Gov't you have lots of rights when injured on the job. I would suggest getting legal representation and getting
justice.

Yes, they can fire you but, you are still entitled to Worker's Comp. payments for wages. I suggest you get a Workers Comp. Attorney.
