property left

I am in texas and i have had a friend leave alot of items on my land. He has not contacted us in almost a year. Do we have the right to sell his stuff or what can we do?

My response:

You send him a letter, by Certified Return Receipt letter, telling him that he has 30 days to remove all of his property. If he fails to take his property, tell him you intend to sell or dispose of the property.
