I was injured on my job in February of 2001 - I was off approximately one week and then released with some restrictions and pending follow up. Two weeks after my return to work I was laid off. A follow up visit with my dr. in April determined more extensive damage and requires me to have neck surgery. Can my workmens comp be reinstated for wages since i was laid off?
Any help would be greatly appreciated - thanks (Illinois)

Absolutely you are entitled to WC payments. If they refuse get an attorney.

Compensation

Yes, you can reopen your case. Your case will not close until you are called to a hearing and the case is closed.
You must obtain legal services from a Compensation Lawyer immediately.
Your employment has violated your Civil Rights and the Disability Act for laying you off. You now have a cause for action in the Courts.

Good Luck...
