i am in my early thirties. i am employed at a well known corporation's s.c. facility. i was involved in an accident at work where my left hand and forearm were amputated a little more than a month ago. i am recieving worker's comp benefits, but the accident was not my fault. my question is as follows: is the company held liable, and can i file a lawsuit?

Compensation / Personal Injury / SSI.

Yes, seek a Compensation, Personal injury and Social Security Attorney's immediately.
Some Attorney's handle all 3 cases.
All medical expenses, travel expenses to and from Doctors Office and Hospitals will be returned to you at a compensation hearing. You must keep all written appointments, receipts, mileage and toll payment receipts.
In addition to this, seek counseling from a Psychiatrist,MD. or Psychotherapist, MD. Remember they must be MD. or MD.,Phd. They should not be PhD.,only.
I'm sorry about your arm and keep a positive head your on your way to a wealthy retirement.

Good Luck and God Bless.
Al from New York.
