Comp. Time in California

I am employed by a Company in California. My job requires me to travel quite a bit and stay over night anywhere from 2-3 nights away from home per week. I was not told that I would be traveling over-night when I was interviewed or hired. Am I allowed by CA. law to receive Comp. time? I enjoy my nights at home as any one else does, but having to be away 2-3 nights per week is getting to be a burden on my family. I am a salaried employee, and I was recently "docked" a days pay because I had not ecumulated enough hours for sick pay. What about over time pay?
