i paid for a "friend" to take a class on my credit card back in november of 2000. he hasn't paid back a dime of it yet. he owes me $2000. what is the cheapest and easiest way to get this back from him. (by they way i later found out that he had been sued before for money owed)

Cheapest and Easiest...

1) Take him to Small Claims court. Bring all of your evidence. If he doesn't show up, you get a default judgment. If he does show up, present your case and hopefully get a judgment.

2) Then, hope and pray that you are able to enforce the judgment against the deadbeat (sometimes the hardest part of all)!!
