A police officer looking for kids who stole some beer off a porch from a nearby home threw open the sliding screen door to the basement and entered my neighbors house. Then made everyone in the house give their names and show drivers ID. After calling 911 for help to control the upset officer, the dispatcher told us she had the right to be there because noone answered the door.
We didn't hear police ring bell at 1:00 am because we were in basement playing music. Can they just barge right in and make all the guests show ID?
