Hi,

I am a Canadian student. For an educational conference I would like to edit several short clips (approx. 60 seconds each) of different American television shows together.
I am wondering how the copyright law works. Am I subject to Canadian laws even though they are American programs? If so, do you know if there is comparable "fair use" legislation in Canada? However, if I am subject only to American copyright law, do my circumstances support a "fair use" situation?
Thanks for any advice you can give me.
