We are a non-profit organization and in our by-laws we have a 'lease agreement' with the main organization. The lease agreement states that we forgo our rights to amend our bylaws for the use of their name and emblems. The only way we can amend our by-laws is by the full approval of the board of directors of the main affiliation. My question is this 'How can we release ourselves from this lease agreement?' We have stop using their name and emblems and wish to legally change our name. We have requested to go before their board but to no avail. Please help!
