we all live in texas. our daughter is 31 ,married with two children ages 5 and 11. Our daughter started showing sign of personality change about 1 year ago. She lost interest in her home and family. She has left home three times not letting anyone know where. She only stayed 2-3 days the first 2 times. she recently left and was gone for two weeks. her husband finally tracked her down by finding her buddy list on their computer. she met a man in a chat room and was staying 2000 miles away with him.She will not communicate with any of her family.she now is threating to take the girls away with her. I feel she may have a chemical imbalance from mixing diet pills and herbs while she was going to an exercise gym last summer. How can we force her to be tested medically and mentally as she refuses to admit her strange behavior. She has cut all ties with family school friends, everyone. We are very fearful she will disappear with the children and they will placed in a dangerous invironment.

Forget about having her tested for now. Get the father to file for legal custody of the children. Without any court order, she can more or less do what she wants.
