Florida - To be brief and to the point, I am interested in finding out if I should file a battery charge on a lady who came into my mother's house and proceded to scream and yell and hit me. I did fight back in self-defence and the scuffle was broken up by my sister and her husband.

I have deep bruses on my right arm and leg but did not file a police report at the time of the scuffle.

It seems to me that circumstances matter in this and any case I can provide more detail if needed.

Thank you for any help or guidance, I feel like I have been violated and would like to know what I should do.

Civil suit -- you can file. Criminal charges -- bring it to the D.A.

http://www.attorneypages.com. You are not telling the whole story. See a lawyer.
