NYS- My brother has a suspended license for outstanding tickets..such as leaving the car on while making a call, park over 3" away from a curb, passenger not having seat belt, music excessively loud and so on and so on. He is on parole for drug charges dating about 2 years ago and is constantly being harassed in the town he lives in. He was arrested tonight for the excessive tickets, there has been no warrant for his arrest issued. He drove to the corner store about a block away for milk and after he got out of the car he was arrested, so technically he wasn't pulled over and he is being held without bail for a suspended license, he is meeting with the judge in the morning. The car wasn't impounded..his girlfriend was called to come pick it up. What can he be charged with and can he be sent to jail for any amount of time?
