NJ - friend needs help. He has been living with a woman for 7 years now, whom he has 2 children with. Their is no common law in NJ. He is having problems breaking it off with her because she won't let him go. They agreed on child support and to keep joint custody. The problem being the home in which they all lived. He is in the process of buying it off a family member and paying the mortgage off before it goes in his name. He has been out of the house for weeks now, and she has no intention on moving. What can he do legally to get her out of his place? How much time is he suppose to give her to find a place if she is not doing anything to help? Who is resposible for all the bills while he is no longer living there? How can he pay for a temporary place to stay while she won't pay a thing towards the home and he has a contract to pay that mortgage too? He has tried to settle things with her out of court, but she won't do a thing.
