my daughter recently began a job, about 4 weeks ago. yesterday she slipped and fell, her foot and ankle are swollen and painful. our doctor said it is a torn ligament, and not to work for at least a week (she is on her feet at work). They gave her the worker's comp. # to give to the doctor, but I am wondering if part-time workers, who have only been employed for a month, are eligible for temporary disability pay? She is 17, NY state.
