6 yr old susp.license warrant??I have valid dl

i live in calif.my ca dl was reissued 2 yrs ago,i have full coverage auto insurance with good driver status.i havent received a traffic violation in 6 yrs.dmv says no holds on dl.then on a unrelated charge city court comes up with 6 year old susp lic.failure to appear.arrested, out on bail.judge says $1500.00 and five days. case is scheduled for pre trial.auto insurance co says they wont cancel me just dont let them know????????
