my wife works for major firm. Became pregnant few months after her start date. notified HR about pregnancy and was told since she is "exempt" employee she is entitled to Family Leave even though the due date falls a month short of one year employment anniversary. now, two weeks before due date, she gets a letter stating she is not entitled to F.L. she may only apply for medical leave in which she would lose insurance, pay and benefits.
any advice?
