My husband borrowed some money from his employer (small business owner, personal friends, blah, blah..) one year ago. He has inquired twice about making arrangements to repay..has been told "don't worry..when you get back on your feet", etc.. The wife's owner took out $50 from his last few checks and since he quit Friday, she took the remaining as a lump sum. She is taking it from the actual hours he has worked for them. Is this legal? Thanks!
