inaccurate info on a citation - Colorado

Here's a simple question about a citation with inaccurate
information filled in by the officer.

I was cited in Colorado for failure to register a vehicle
within 30 days of becoming a resident. I'm still
researching when I actually became a resident, as there are
two clauses, and I haven't figured out which applies yet
(too complicated to go into here).

I've heard stories about how if the citation has pertinent
information not filled out correctly, that the citation has
to be dropped.

In my case, the citation says "none" under Vehicle License
Number. The vehicle was licensed, with the license number
presented to the officer on the California title. Note
that I didn't have my plates from California yet, since I
had just moved and CA hadn't shipped them yet. So, the
citation was incorrect in stating "none" for license
number and state.

Is this oversite grounds to drop the citation?

You do not present any information that would be just cause for dismissal of the citation. Technically, your out of state plates were invalid and the officer was correct in placing none on the citation.
