don't i get my bail refunded to me if i go to an approved traffic school and the proper notification is sent to the city? i ran a red light in san francisco.

What do you mean bail? Were you held in jail till bail was posted? If you mean the amount of the fine on the ticket, no, you do not get it back.

Refund of bail

Thanks for your response. No, I was not put in jail. There was no amount listed on the citiation I received at the time of the violation. I later received a "Courtesy Warning Notice" stating that I was required to pay "bail" in the amount of $320. It gave a court date and said that if I didn't appear, I would "forfeit bail". It also mentioned that I might be eligible for Traffic School, which I was.
