california-I received a GSL Loan and a Pell Grant, at the time I had only gone through the 8th grade in school with no GED or High School Diploma. I am seeking assistance in having this loan discharged based on the False Certification of Ability to Benefit. Does anyone have any advice? Discharges don't seem to happen very often. And why is the school not held responsible for it's illegal actoins?

I am not getting the whole story. Did you spend the money? If so, you are liable. Did you get notification of receipt but never got the money and now it is against you?
