bad debt collection time limit

I was hired for a job in Jamaica by a company in NJ that was subbed out to a company in NY. I live in NY. What’s the statute of limitations for collecting on that debt in court? I’ll assume that I’d have to collect in NJ small claims.

If you are owed back wages, get a lawyer. You will be entitled to both back wages and interest accrued.

If you don't want a lawyer, try http://www.eeoc.gov and see if there is anything that can be done without a lawyer. Or even try http://www.bbb.com (sometimes they can act as an intermediary).

what is the statue of limitations, time wise, in NJ to collect?
I assume that I’d have to sue in NJ.
