N.J. convicted of disorderly person 2c292a and have applied for a teaching position. Lawyers have told me I do not have to put down that I have committed a crime which I have done. However in readying the criminal background check for education it looks like a disorderly person can be disqualified for a job. Called lawyer again... he says not a crime.... What do you think? does anyone know about the criminal background check for teachers? I am having it expunged but that will take a while.... lawyer says not to say anything to superintendent less said the better....
