I am going to contest a moving violation my son received. Simply, he was turning left with 2 other vehicles behind him. The 2nd vehicle went to pass the vehicle directly behind my son and did not see my son turning and hit him. The county sheriff cited my son for "turning left when not safe" because the vehicle directly behind my son left the scene and could not verify that my son's left turn signal was on. How do i go about contesting this citation? It is my son's first citation and we live in kansas.
