My grandmother in TN is days away from passing away due to terminal cancer. She is in a comma and doesn't have a will. She does have a life insurance policy that names my uncle (her son) as beneficiary. I have heard that the state of TN takes the property of anyone who doesn't have a will pays the person's debts and keeps the rest. Is this true? If not then who gets her home, other property and debts?
