Toni K. In New Mexico: I purchased a used vehicle with an "as is Warranty" In March, imediately had problems, engine blew by the end of June. Is there any thing I can do. Dealer will only sell us a new engine at his costs. Is he responsible for any of it.

I do not know about New Mexico law, but here in San Diego, CA there is virtually no laws against the sale of used vehicles. I doubt there is anywhere. Since it was as is, I'm sure that the dealor is not liable.

Federal lemon laws apply to new vehicles only. The dealers offer to sell you a new engine at cost sounds like a generous offer.
