May 2001 my father passed, today I received papers stateing my stepmother is the "DEV" of the estate. Myself and my brothers are stated as "in FULL". What are these terms? This WILL was written in 1985 in the state of Michigan USA. I was unaware he even had a will until today. My father married my stepmother in 1982. What are our legal rights?

thank you

Although you are heirs at law, if there was a valid Will he could have left everything to his wife of 19 years. You should ask for a copy of the Will and see what it says. Was he competent when he signed it? Was it properly witnessed?
