What is the difference betweeen Estate Tax and Death Tax.
Is it necessary to change the title of a property prior to having an Estate sale to liquify assets?

Death tax is the broad term for any tax that takes effect at death. The federal Estate Tax is a death tax. State Inheritance Taxes are also death taxes.

I don't believe you would have to change the title for the estate to sell property.
