My estranged husband keeps turning me into DCFS, three times in the past three weeks. How can I get this to stop. My children have been pulled from class each time this has happened to be interviewed and I have to leave work to be interviewed by the DCFS personnel. To top that off several other members of my family, friends, and school employees have been spoken with.
Each time it has not been found to be false and they have not indicated me, but there should be laws that prevent this from happening.
Please help with some ideas of how I can handle this and stop him from continually turning a bad situation into an even worse one for the children.
Two times it has been for neglected. My 13 year old daughter was watching her five year old brother and he left the yard.
Now he claimed that I hit the five year old and he has cuts on his face from it. So this claim was for abuse.

Watch out for the DCFS. They can be a very dangerous group of people to deal with. Where I live now, I have a similar situation. DCFS has reported to the court that I have admitted to various forms of child abuse without so much as interviewing me. I have never admitted to such accusations, nor have I actually committed them.

You have the right to tell the school system that your child will not be involved in any activities there except basic education -- including uninvited DCFS, DSS, and CPS interrogations. This is done with the "Hatch Letter", a sample copy of which you can find at http://www.cpswatch.com/resources/hatch.htm

You have the right to tell your child that if a DCFS, DSS, or a CPS worker at school confronts him he can request the presence of an attorney, his parents, and a tape recorder. A child also has the right to refuse to talk to CPS workers, and you have the right to explain this to him when he is old enough to understand.

It is unfortunate that your husband employs such brutal tactics. An accusation of child abuse is considered to be the ultimate nuclear bomb of child custody cases. Be careful. I would also suggest reading some of the dirty tricks that DCFS, DSS, and CPS pulls on the innocent people like you an me. Here is the link…

DCFS, DSS, and CPS have been known to violate people’s rights. They see the Bill of Rights as and obstruction to their agenda. This is taken from personal experience. Here are some other links that I would suggest reading. Good luck with your children.

On the cpswatch website there is a statement that you can print out, laminate, give to your children to carry and also make it a part of their school files. I believe this is in the section at the upper right hand corner "Parents guide to the system" under request a search warrent at the bottom. They DO NOT have to talk with these people and I WOULD NOT allow it. Especially the 5 year old, they like them young....easier to adopt out where the big federal dollars come in. In addition, request a copy of your files, ALL OF THEM. Also, I don't care if they SAY the reports are unfounded, you need to have a written letter from them. You have to know your rights, or you don't have any and they aren't going to tell you.
As for your ex, we have one of those too. They hide behind the children those cowards "Well, SuzyQ told me"...yeah, RIGHT. Until these false accusers, these people that coerce children, destroy families and lives, AND the ones who believe and encourage this type of behavior, start to jail time, the witch hunt will never end.
Good Luck to you. Cpswatch has several email lists, feel free to ask questions and ask for help.
Kindest regards;
KAT
