can you move out of state once divorce is in the process?

I have filed for divorce and it is final in January of 2002. I am wanting to move out of state and not sure if the divorce will still be able to proceed if I do. My question is, Am I still able to move out of state and still have my divorce done in the state of Michigan while living in another state ?

Yes, you can move BUT you would have to go back to your home state for any remaining hearings.

You didn't mention whether you have kids or not. If you do, the answer would be very different.
