what is the law in Ohio on this problem.
Daughter, 19, living at home, does absolutely nothing to help working mother. Pays no board. Father wants daughter to leave home to help her grow up and become independent. Causing turmoil between parents. Mom insists on daughter being allowed to remain home. Is father allowed to evict her?? Seems there was a case in Ohio about a 35 yr. old daughter. Father is jailed because he evicted her. Any comments?? Thanks

The father was jailed because he made a 35 year old woman move out? Puh-leeze!! Some people these days just want a free ride. If the house is in just the fathers name, he can make her leave. If it is in both of their names, he would probably have to take it to court. If the mother is the one making up for the daughter's slack, and still insisting that she be able to stay, then she deserves what she gets. The daughter needs to either pay her own way, help out around the house, go to college, or leave. Just my opinion.
