wondering if i can add my 6 month old daughter to my morgage?
in case of death of me and my wife i have insurance to pay the house off, and would like it to be given to her.

DEAR YESDEAR:

It is not a good idea to put property in the name of a minor, since I don't think they are legally allowed to own property.

If you have a will prepared, you should name your daughter as the beneficiary of the property in your will, and also name a guardian who would take care of the child and also possibly manage the home until the daughter reached the legal age of adulthood.

If you don't have a will made, you really do need to get one made to protect your child's interests.
