As of today have become involved in a small corp. and was issued a stock certificate for
my agreed number of shares. The corp was formed on June 16 but the certificate was back dated to April 11th. Any reason for doing this?

Does the fact that the issued date is before the corp existed as a legal entity make the certificate invalid or perhaps worthless?
