I am not aware of any criminal or civil laws that are broken solely by using an old address. Unless there is some fraud or intent to fraud, it sounds pretty stupid to use an old address, but not illegal.
However, the people who 'travel great distances' might have a case for damages, but it would be stupid to even consider litigation.

A company moved from our town. The new owners continue to use the companies' previous address on all correspondence, order blanks, letters.
Distraut customers travel great distances to this business, only to find a vacant building.
Is this practice legal?
