Ask the lawyer you have been using to now. If you can't pay the hourly fees, and she will not take it on a contingency basis (perhaps because she thinks your case is not all that good, or you are a difficult client), perhaps she will be a coach. This happens all the time.

To retain a lawyer, I suggest you go to http://AttorneyPages.com which is endorsed by the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. This response is intended as general information only and NOT LEGAL ADVICE. As you are not my client I have no obligation of any kind to you.

My response:

. . . or if that doesn't work, and if you really feel strongly about your case, then it's time to get a bank loan.

I have exhausted all my avenues as far as the banking system so something else fell in my lap in the last 2 days. The other owner is a women so we are legitimately minority owned so I'm going today to see what the system can really do for us.
