I am in Texas.
I am recently engaged.
I had bad credit and filed for bankruptcy. Am building my credit back little by little. How do I get married and not have my credit rating effect my spouse's? He has sterling credit that we will need in the future to purchase home etc, please advise. thanks

You are lucky ... for one, you live in Texas, where Common-Law marriages still exist. I recommed you get one of those - no paperwork involved (no marriage license or certificate) - therefore, your credit should not effect your husband to be's ...
