The fifth amendment states that you can be charged only once with a crime. Well my son has been charged and arrested four times for the same aggravated assault/battery, how can this keep happening. State of Kansas
The Fifth amendment only states that you can't be placed in double jeopardy for the same offense. That's different than being charged and arrested; you actually have to be convicted for there to be double jeopardy.
