Is this a misdemeanor, if so, is it class 1, 2 or 3? What type of fine or jail is involved for a first offender. Can a postponement be requested if the person charged doesn't have the money to hire an attorney? If a postponement can be requested can it be for more than 30 days. Need to know by tomorrow if anyone can help me. Thanks

Sorry I know nothing about the specifics of AZ law but if you do not have the money for an attorney you can ask that the court appoint counsel for you (either public defender or private practice attorney paid out of publi coffers). Ask the judge tomorrow if you can have a postponement; assuming the DA agrees he'll grant your request.
