A Pennsylvania youth football league has suspended two children for the parents petitioning them to release the financial report. They have refused to release the financial information. Other businesses and organizations that donate to the football program are now considering not donating to the program. It is a great program for the kids but we are stuck with a not so honest board running it. We have contacted the Local Disclosure office of the IRS. They are listed as a non profit corporation with the Department of State in Pennsylvania, they are not a private corporation. Can anyone please help us in what steps the parents can take to get the information. They also have a $10,000 dollar cd in the local bank. Is there a law that says that the money must be spent on the kids who raised it? Please any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
MMB
