Curious if I plead guilty how long this charge will stay on record.
Should I try to plead a lesser?
How would I do that?
Any help or advice appreciated.
Thanks

Get a lawyer in your locality to represent you. The lawyer will know the prosecutor and the situation and probably be able to work out a plea bargain for you. If you can't afford a lawyer, the state has an obligation to provide one for you.
