My daughter lives in North Carolina and wants to watch children in her home.
Does this require a licence?
If so, how do you apply?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Child care laws vary from state to state, but it is my understanding that in most states, including the one I live in, if the child care provider is caring for more than three children, the provider must apply for a license. This is usually obtained at a state dept. of human services.

Keep in mind that there are also usually property requirements, such as a fenced in area, a certain amount of square footage available, and certain saftey regulations that vary from state to state.
