We recently purchased Goods and services from a pool company that totalled $5000. We paid with a check but did not document on our check how much for retail goods and how much for services. We have asked for a receipt documenting what items were purchased and what services were provided to use for warranties and installation problems come spring, but have been unable to get them to provide this. Do they have any obligation to provide in the State of Ohio? Is a non specified cancelled check enough of a receipt if we have to pursue warranty work or claim work against the installer? Thank you.
