A kindergarten teacher teaching a morning session in one school and an afternoon session in another school wants to be relieved of half of her contract because of health reason. The school system says work both or quit both. Could she just ask for a medical leave from part of her contract? Does she have any rights here?

A contract is a contract.

You can alter the terms only if BOTH parties are in agreement.

They are not in agreement here.

I think you know the answer to getting a medical leave from PART of the school day. If you're so sick you cannot work that part of the day, then you would be too sick to work the first part of the day also.

Best of luck to you.
