price tags?!

i live in anchorage alaska. is it true that a store (any store grocery department discount whatever) has to honor the sticker price tag on an item? because i was recently at an major discount store and the price tag sticker on the item said $9.99 but it turned out that on of their emploee stuck it on their by mistake. thats not my fault it probly had been on the shelf for months so should i have gotten it for the stcker price?

Retailers are under no legal obligation to sell an item for the posted price, especially if the item marked wrong. You have the option of not buying the item at the correct price or paying the correct price. If what you claim was true, there would be rampant price tag changing in every store in the U.S.A. I could see it now, " Hey lady, the price tag on that $200 Snorkaflugel muffler bearing says $3.99 so you have to sell it to me at that price!".
