...and I would also call several lawyers until you find one you feel comfortable with, even before you go in for an appointment.

If he or she doesn't have two minutes for you to explain stuff over the phone, but only wants to rope you into the office...he or she might just be looking at you as a cash cow. DUI is serious and humiliating, and you need a lawyer who will be compassionate and mindful.
